Food and Drink Festival plus Woodlands Charity Duck Race

On Saturday 3rd August the Town Mayor visited the St Neots Food and Drink Festival held in the towns market square.  The weather was kind to us and apart from the tiniest rain shower it stayed sunny and warm for all to enjoy the days festivities.

The square was packed with visitors enjoying the wide range of food and drink on offer from around the region, including gourmet sausages, fresh chilli sauces, cupcakes and gardening.

As well as the wonderful stalls there was musical entertainment from local groups, cooking demonstrations by Celebrity Chef, Dale Pinnock and face painting for the kids.

Mid afternoon saw visitors heading off to the river for the launch of over 1600 ducks from the town bridge.  Town Mayor, Cllr Andrew Hansard and Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Victor Lucas officially started the charity duck race.  Spectators lined the river as far as the eye could see eagerly waiting to see the winner cross the line.
