On Sunday June 23^rd the St Neots Town Council held it’s Annual Civic Service at St Mary’s, the Parish Church.  Attended by over 100 dignitaries and supported by many town folk the service conducted by the Revd Dr Paul Andrews, the Vicar of St Neots and assisted by the Rector of Eynesbury the Revd Deborah Noonan and Curate Revd Sarah Gower was greatly enjoyed and appreciated by all.

The Air Training Corps Cadet Band led the procession through the High Street and Church Street accompanied by the Hunts & District Sea Cadets, St Johns Cadets and Mayors and Deputy Mayors from surrounding towns and districts.  Also accompanying the Mayor of St Neots were Town Councillors, the MP Jonathan Djanogly and Deputy Lord Lieutenant Captain Victor Lucas and the Town Crier Michael Blackburn.

Guests enjoyed an afternoon cream tea in the church rooms with entertainment provided by the St Neots Air Cadets band.

St Neots Civic Sunday Service - 23rd June 2013

The Civic Sunday for the Mayor of St Neots, Cllr Andrew Hansard, will take place on Sunday 23rd June 2013 at St Neots Parish Church at 3pm.

There will be a civic parade through the town centre at 2.30pm led by the St Neots Air, Army and Sea Cadets followed by the Town Crier, civic dignitaries and members of the Counci.

 

All are welcome to attend.  There is no parking at the church, please use the town centre car parks.

Sunday turned out to be a lovely day, the sun was shining and it was very warm indeed!  Thankfully there was a nice breeze blowing.

St Neots Air Training Corps led the procession out onto the high street.  The atmosphere was great and it was lovely to see families stopping along the street to watch the procession go by.

After the service it was cream tea on the new terrace at the Priory Centre where guests were entertained by the Air Cadets band.  A lovely end to a lovely afternoon.

Reminder - Civic Service Sunday 9 September 2012

There will be more than 80 civics and cadets in this year's parade.  The air cadets band will be playing throughout the parade.

Why not come down to the Market Square for a coffee and watch with family and friends.

Mayor of St Neots - Civic Service 9 Sept 2012

This year the parade returns.  It will leave from the Priory Centre marching through the town to St Neots Parish Church.

St Neots Air Cadets together with civics, dignatories and local councillors will be participating.

The Air Cadets band will play throughout the procession.
